Peace Foundation
Peace Foundation is a non-political and non-profit, social and multicultural voluntary organization came in to appearance in 2006. It is committed to help in changing socio-economic and health status of the community especially the poor, illiterate and vulnerable population particularly the women and children. The NGO was established by the initiative of a group of philanthropic and dedicated men and women of Satkhira area. Peace Foundation is run by a seven members Executive Committee (EC). It has a properly constituted managing body with clearly defined rules and responsibilities for office bearers. It is registered with Social Welfare. The founders included a group of highly educated social workers from the same locality committed to offering health care services, education and other human welfare services in the community.
Our Mission
To create healthy and democratic societies, self-financed, self-employed and self-empowered communities with increased capabilities by providing need-based services and supports like education, health, sanitation, HIV/AIDS prevention, gender, human rights & legal services, environment promotion, technology, microfinance, agriculture, marketing and by income generating activities.
Our Vision
To improve the quality of life of the poor people especially in rural and poverty-free peaceful Bangladesh.

To improve promote positive changes in quality of life and alleviation of poverty and empowerment of the poor and establish peaceful society.
Objectives
Peace Foundation seeks to assist in the development of Bangladesh and other developing countries of the world. Its major objectives are:
- To improve socio-economic conditions of disadvantaged and underprivileged people through undertaking and implementing strategic and projects.
- To assist the underprivileged people for capacity building and ensuring provision of basic needs of life like employment, income, education, health, food security etc.
- To help in building institution of the target groups for establishing their basic rights in the family, community and society.
- To initiate group based social, moral and cultural activities.
- To transfer ownership of the organization to the beneficiaries.
- To assist Governments and implementing agencies in policy and decision-making in achieving the best output through provision of consulting and technical assistance services.

In all, Peace Foundation covers about 3 lac beneficiaries all over Satkhira District in Bangladesh who are getting direct or indirect benefits from different development program/projects operated by the organization.
